Jim Domenick
President

Jim founded the company in 1993, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to provide clients, agents and brokers with Property & Casualty insurance solutions for the Non-profit sector and Information Technology industry. Domenick & Associates has been serving the nonprofit community since 1993, when they developed an insurance program for the PA Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO). Jim has conducted educational seminars on the subject of insurance and risk management as it applies to non-profit organizations for PANO, the Community Development Institute (CDI) of Philadelphia, The Reinvestment Fund (TRF), The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, The Philadelphia Association of CDCs (PACDC), Regional Housing Legal Services (RHLS), the law firm of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoades, and for the clients of the law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP. He also has written on insurance issues, particularly Directors & Officers Liability for the PA Nonprofit Report and Keynotes, the quarterly newsletter of PANO. Jim worked for CIGNA Insurance Company in Philadelphia for eight years in various positions, including Senior International Consultant, Manager of Agency Financial Services, Director of Business Development and Planning and Director of Producer Management, prior to founding Domenick & Associates. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Information Processing from Bloomsburg University and an MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia.

Jim has served actively on a number of non-profit boards over the past 20 years. Currently, he is a director (and former Treasurer) of Squash Smarts, Inc., a youth sports and educational organization, and is also the Treasurer of Face to Face, Inc., a community social service organization. He served for seven years as a member of the Board of Governors of the Germantown Cricket Club and is former president of the International Professional Exchange, a non-profit organization in Philadelphia. He resides in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Matthew J. Domenick
Vice President – Financial Services

Matthew serves an independent insurance advisor and runs the Financial Services division of Domenick & Associates, working with more than 65 insurance companies to deliver custom benefits solutions to businesses. He manages a portfolio of products that includes individual Life, Disability and Long-Term Care insurance; Group Life, Disability and Dental insurance; Ancillary, Volunteer and Executive Benefits. Matt was formerly with Northwestern Mutual, where he cultivated relationships with clients, as well as recruited and developed individuals joining the financial services industry. In his practice, Matt helped clients protect their assets and income through the use of various insurance strategies. He also developed tax-efficient strategies to help clients save for life events, such as children’s education and retirement funding.

Matt graduated in 2012 from the University of Rochester, with a B.S. in Psychology. He played varsity squash for four years and was team captain.

Christopher J. Garrity
Commercial Lines Account Manager

Christopher joined Domenick & Associates in 2003 and is the primary contact for new commercial non-profit business, including for Directors & Officers, Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Professional Liability and Commercial Automobile. He is also responsible for the administration of the firm’s wholesale book of business, including developing and managing its network of retail brokers. His prior experience includes working for Insurance Overload Systems and Underwriters Insurance Group, both in Los Angeles.

Christopher holds a B.A. in North American Studies from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Monica Sapp-Willis
Commercial Lines Account Manager

Monica’s experience spans both the carrier and broker side, having worked at a number of companies since beginning her insurance career in 1996. She has worked for KBS International, Goodhart National Gorman Agency, Human Services Company, and PSA Insurance. Monica joined Domenick & Associates in 2005, and primarily services and markets Workers’ Compensation, self-insured and assigned risk accounts for social services accounts in approximately 45 states. She also provides day-to-day servicing where necessary for Property & Casualty lines.

Monica is a graduate of Empire State College – SUNY Hartsdale, NY, and holds her P & C Brokers License in New York and Maryland.

Thomas Weiant, CPCU, AU
Commercial Lines Account Manager

Tom joined Domenick & Associates in 2014, and is an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager with deep insurance knowledge in all coverage lines, delivering a high level of integrity, detail orientation and customer satisfaction in the non-profits market. His experience includes working at the insurance agency and carrier level. He worked for Wells Fargo Insurance Services for 26 years where he served as a Commercial Lines Account Manager working on diverse accounts with annual premiums ranging from $2,000 to $1 million. Classes of businesses included nonprofits, manufacturing, contractors, country clubs, life sciences, real estate, wholesale, retail, international and more.

Tom is a graduate of Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa, with a major in Foreign Languages and has kept current with his insurance licenses through the Insurance Institute of America, Malvern, Pa.
